When I open a tab with an existing response in progress, I expect the thinking timer to show how long the response has been running since the message was sent. Instead, the timer starts counting from when I opened the tab.
Steps to reproduce
- Send a message that starts a response.
- Leave or close the tab while the response continues.
- Open the tab again.
- Observe the elapsed time shown next to
Working.
Expected behavior
The elapsed time is calculated from the message send time, using the timestamp already available to the client.
Actual behavior
The elapsed time starts at zero when the tab opens, so it understates how long the response has been running.
Evidence
The supplied screenshot shows Working · 0:37 after opening the tab. The timer reflects time since the tab was opened rather than time since the message was sent.
