Follow-up to #203 and #640. The private service-home binary is self-upgradable but inaccessible to the WordPress compose identity, so AGENTS.md fell back to a stale root binary. Provision one dedicated, world-traversable executable directory beneath the root-owned wp-coding-agents prefix: only bin and the Homeboy executable are owned/writable by the service identity. Seed from the existing service copy first; do not overwrite an installed newer managed binary. Root never mutates the service-writable executable after directory handoff. Guidance, Homeboy integration and the Kimaki systemd PATH all prefer the same executable; root/local/external modes retain their prior behavior. Validation rejects symlinked or user-owned managed prefixes, unsafe path overrides and private-home targets before privileged mutation. Tests: homeboy-service-identity, bridge-render, verify, integration-adapters, homeboy-verification-guidance, CI coverage, shell syntax and git diff --check pass on macOS. agents-md-guidance reaches the Homeboy checks then its fixture hides Homebrew PHP/md5 under PATH=/usr/bin:/bin; Linux CI is authoritative. No live VPS mutation is in this branch. Finalization outside Homeboy: Chris authorized direct OpenCode fallback after repeated Homeboy publication and Lab-staging failures; OpenAI gpt-6-luna via OpenCode implemented in an isolated issue-linked worktree and OpenAI gpt-6-sol via OpenCode reviewed ownership and PATH invariants.
