The IDEX team is working on an algorithm to distinguish dust events from from noise events. The algorithm is working outside the pipeline. We want to integrate this into the pipeline and assign a corresponding flag. This will enable us to begin working on level 3 products: flux and density maps.
We will also want to implement flags to identify pulser and noise capture events: this will also require algorithmic identification as the only way to grab that information is by looking at the instrument trigger settings and message logs.
Alex Doner will probably be able to do most of the work but will probably ping Luisa with a few queries.
