fix(core): migrate runtime to static lint checks - #465
Added lint checks for invalid date and number inputs or formatting options, incorrect component parentage, multiple page shells, and excessive popover instances.
Button groups now support media seek and pause controls as children.
Bug Fixes
Formatting components preserve invalid inputs without runtime warnings and resume formatting after invalid settings are corrected.
Page-shell and excessive-instance warnings now report more consistently.
Invalid slotted children are checked by linting rather than runtime warnings.
Documentation
Updated guidance on runtime warnings, formatting diagnostics, and component layout rules.

Walkthrough
This change adds ESLint rules for formatter inputs, component relationships, and instance counts. It updates runtime auditing, removes warnings from formatter fallback paths, and revises tests, rule configuration, examples, and documentation.
New helpers identify literal formatter inputs, validate locales, determine render scopes and repetition, and define parent-element contracts.
Formatter input and option rules projects/lint/src/eslint/rules/no-invalid-date-*, projects/lint/src/eslint/rules/no-invalid-numeric-value*, projects/lint/src/eslint/rules/no-invalid-number-format-options*, projects/lint/src/eslint/rules/no-unexpected-attribute-value.test.ts
New rules validate literal date and numeric inputs and date and number formatting options. Tests cover input exclusions and HTML, TypeScript, TSX, and Markdown cases.
Component structure and instance rules projects/lint/src/eslint/rules/no-excessive-popover-instances*, projects/lint/src/eslint/rules/no-invalid-parent-elements*, projects/lint/src/eslint/rules/no-multiple-page-elements*, projects/lint/src/eslint/rules/no-invalid-slotted-elements.test.ts, projects/core/src/button-group/button-group.ts
New rules check parent contracts, repeated popover and page instances, and multiple page shells in one render scope. Slot tests and button-group metadata cover supported media controls.
The audit controller updates instance counting and page-shell warnings. Slot auditing is removed, parent auditing remains, and audit decorators are removed from listed components.
Formatter fallbacks preserve their existing output without warnings. Tests cover invalid inputs and options, and check formatting after corrected locale or time-zone values.
The HTML configuration registers the rules with warning or error severity. Documentation, rule counts, examples, visual-test synchronization, and Eleventy configuration are updated.

Fix the fence regex for CRLF Markdown files.
context.sourceCode.text keeps \r\n line endings. The closing-fence lookahead (?=\n|$) fails when \r follows the closing fence. The regex then matches no fenced block in CRLF files.
getMarkdownScope then returns the shared Document scope for every example in the file. no-multiple-page-elements and no-excessive-popover-instances report false positives across separate code fences.
Allow an optional \r in the lookahead.

This does not change the functional behavior of the component but moves the checks for logging to static eslint rules. The runtime output/visual behavior is the same.

Specifically calling out that this logic is in ESLint to help future devs/agents know that the invalid API use is primarily managed via ESLint and not logging.

Keep JSX children in one scope when they can render together.
For <div>{active && <nve-page />}<nve-page /></div>, getJSXScope stops at the first page's JSXExpressionContainer. It assigns that page a different scope from its sibling. When active is true, the page rule therefore misses two rendered shells. Traverse the expression container for a conditional inclusion, but keep mutually exclusive ternary branches separate. Do not treat independent *ngIf sections as exclusive scopes.
If both conditions are true in <section *ngIf="a"><nve-page /></section><section *ngIf="b"><nve-page /></section>, both page shells render. This boundary check gives them different scopes, so no-multiple-page-elements reports no error. The valid case in projects/lint/src/eslint/rules/no-multiple-page-elements.test.ts, Line 31, also accepts this result. Group independent conditions together; separate scopes only for branches that cannot render together. (raw.githubusercontent.com)

Kept this audit check runtime and as a new eslint rule. This is what helps identify things like excessive popover usage in a template loop. This is consequential enough for application performance to keep as a runtime check still. Also detecting instance counts is not reliable via eslint due to various looping/templating syntax that could trigger the issue.

Count alternative branches alongside unconditional pages.
If a template contains <section v-if="loading">Loading</section><nve-page v-else></nve-page><nve-page></nve-page>, the two pages render together when loading is false. isRenderBoundary gives the v-else page its own scope, while the unconditional page uses the document scope. no-multiple-page-elements therefore misses the duplicate. Preserve the branch distinction without excluding unconditional siblings from the count. (raw.githubusercontent.com)

Accept trailing spaces on Markdown closing fences.
CommonMark permits spaces after a closing fence. If the first of two fenced page examples closes with ``` , this expression can continue to the second example’s closing fence. Both pages then receive one fence scope, and no-multiple-page-elements reports a duplicate across independent examples. Allow trailing spaces or tabs before the line ending. (spec.commonmark.org)

Count JSX pages rendered in the same array.
If a component returns [<nve-page key="a" />, <nve-page key="b" />], getJSXScope stops at ArrayExpression. Each page keeps its own scope, so no-multiple-page-elements misses two page shells rendered together. Use the shared array as a scope, while keeping mutually exclusive ternary branches separate.
