@zacharyburnett the lack of metadata 2.5 support is preventing releases over at astropy-iers-data. Could we get a release with this patch ? |

This upgrade will become crucial once build backends (
setuptools,flit-core,hatchling...) start outputting Metadata 2.5, which this release was, to my knowledge, the last requirement all of them have been waiting on.
