What is a Project

A UTDesign project is some project either for CAPSTONE or EPICS where a team of students work towards the project goal for one or more semesters. The projects may be in service of a company or nonprofit, or simply a student project. They can have multiple teams during their lifespan depending on the project and department. They will always have a team of students, a mentor(s), and a budget.

Project Requirements

  • Projects must have a budget
  • Projects must have an available balance
  • Projects can have a team of students (Projects can exist momentarily without any team assigned to them)
  • Projects can have at least one mentor
  • Projects must have a project ID
  • Project IDs must be accurate to projects that predate this webapp
  • Projects must have a record of request orders and reimbursement orders
  • Projects must have an associated department (EPICS, CAPSTONE, etc.)
  • Projects must have a record of previous teams
  • Projects must be able to be archived/unarchived by admins
