This PR was opened by the Changesets release GitHub action. When you're ready to do a release, you can merge this and the packages will be published to npm automatically. If you're not ready to do a release yet, that's fine, whenever you add more changesets to main, this PR will be updated.
mainis currently in pre mode so this branch has prereleases rather than normal releases. If you want to exit prereleases, runchangeset pre exitonmain.Releases

Patch Changes
23ac341: Apply storyboard root capability predicates and required-tools applicability before fixture preparation reads catalogs or seeds controllers. Routed preparation uses the same tool union and capability owners as execution. Unmet gates return an unsupported, not-applicable disposition with discovery evidence, after the preparation authorizer has run.
Propagate unsupported AdCP version pins from controller detection instead of reporting an unavailable controller;
comply()rejects with the typed version refusal. Generic HTML format references retain a unique fixed rendered size as their width/height parameters only when the format advertises dimension parameters and has no fixed rendered size. Sized and custom fixed references remain unchanged.Reuse discovery and dispatch connections within each high-level client operation and avoid repeating cached legacy-era classification handshakes. Caller-owned scopes and explicit connection reuse policies continue to control their own sessions; credentials and transport policies remain partitioned. Aborts and request timeouts preserve seller work even when an isolated status handler catches the error. Injected fetches reuse setup within an operation with or without a principal partition.
023d4f6: Stop copying AdCP 3.3 rendered dimensions onto the legacy
htmlasset (adcp-client#3436). When SDK 17 projects a canonical inline-markupdisplay_tagcreative onto an HTML-markup legacy format (display_htmlordisplay_WxH_html, Project v1 HTML-markup formats (display_*_html) to display_tag inline_markup, not html5 (revisit #6025/#6028) adcp#8339), the legacyhtml_creativeis now{ asset_type: 'html', content }, plusprovenancewhen the asset has it. The asset'swidth,heightandsizesare no longer copied. This matches the AdCP vectorinline-markup-selects-the-exact-sized-legacy-ref.Those fields were added in AdCP 3.3, and the legacy wire only serves sellers before 3.2. In 17.0.0-beta.0 the version translation then refused the copied fields, so
syncCreatives,createMediaBuyandupdateMediaBuythrewProtocolFeatureUnsupportedErrorfor any sized inline-markup creative sent to a 3.0 or 3.1 seller.Unchanged:
format_parameters.width/height, still selects the sized legacy ref, and the selecteddisplay_WxH_htmlref carries the size.display_tagwith its rendered size as sent.html_creativecanonically still moves the asset's ownwidth/height/sizesonto thedisplay_tag, and invents no size from the format ref.d57b2b9: Legacy creative projection failures (
ADCP_CREATIVE_FORMAT_PROJECTION_FAILED) now say which constraint failed. Anhtml5creative offered only HTML-markup formats points at the SDK 17display_taginline-markup migration. Adisplay_tagdelivery type the seller's refs don't accept names both delivery types, and a rendered size with no matching ref names the size. Ambiguous sized refs suggestformat_parameters.width/height. Error codes and selection behaviour are unchanged; only the message text differs.b27fd8d: Report rate limiting during MCP endpoint discovery instead of a wrong-path error. When a probe answers HTTP 429, or 503 with
Retry-After, discovery stops at that URL and throws the newAgentRateLimitedError(code: 'RATE_LIMITED') with the status, the probed URL, andretryAfter/retryAfterMswhen the agent sent a well-formedRetry-After. It no longer probes the remaining candidate URLs, which only spent more of the seller's request budget, and no longer adds the "agent_uri does not include the MCP endpoint path" hint. Other discovery failures, 401 handling, and successful discovery are unchanged.3483bea: Stop fabricating
media_buy_statusfrom the task status when a 3.1+ seller omits the optional responseadcp_versionecho (adcp-client#3432). A conformant seller may answercreate_media_buyorupdate_media_buywith{ status: 'completed', media_buy_id, ... }. From AdCP 3.1, that top-levelstatusis the task envelope status. The SDK used to treat any un-echoed response as possibly 3.0, so it copiedcompleted,rejectedorcanceledintomedia_buy_status. Buyers then saw a buy reported as finished, and the storyboardstatus.monotonicinvariant rejected a legal create →activereadback (the symptom from fix(testing): distinguish task completion from media-buy lifecycle observations #3395).The response helpers now use the release the request was sent at (the buyer's
adcpVersionpin, the release negotiated from it, or the SDK default) when the payload carries no version echo. This applies to the buyer client,tasks/getresults, the AdCP 3.1 response adapter, response validation and the storyboard runner.LegacyEnvelopeStatusOptionsandextractContextaccept an optionaladcpVersionfor this.Behaviour change for adopters: on a 3.1+ exchange, an un-echoed
status: 'completed' | 'rejected' | 'canceled'is returned as sent, with nomedia_buy_statusadded. Read the media-buy lifecycle frommedia_buy_statuswhen the seller sends it.Unchanged:
statusintomedia_buy_status.adcp_versionoradcp_major_versionecho from the seller still takes precedence over the requested release.activekeep the existing legacy move.
