Description

Tried homebrew install method of task onto Ubuntu 26.04 - seems like fit for Mac only as currently setup, I'm not familiar with ruby so maybe adding something like "unless macos" before the if statement?

So just to test it out xattr was installed there

The second form (-p) prints the value of the xattr attr_name.
The third form (-w) sets the value of the xattr attr_name to attr_value.
The fourth form (-d) deletes the xattr attr_name.
The fifth form (-c) deletes (clears) all xattrs.

Is there a reason this needs to work? There are already installation methods for Ubuntu/Debian.

In an case, AI suggests the following:
    brew untap go-task/tap
    brew install go-task

Nope, does not need to work - was just testing a library that provided taskfile and as I do have homebrew in my "quick-test-vm spinup" this was my method of choice
Maybe just update the compatibility list or that section's wording

The documentation states that homebrew, using the tap, is a valid install option for Linux (https://taskfile.dev/docs/installation), so shouldn't it work ? The same issue happens on CentOS, it was working before but is now failing on this xattr error.
