A Model is not a model. It is a named model configuration: which provider to call, which model identifier to use, provider-specific generation parameters such as temperature, and a reference to the Kubernetes secret holding the API key.
Surely it would be better to rename Model to ModelInstanceConfiguration than have to document this absurdity?
Model will be expanded to be able to refer to local model deployment so we want to preserve the name as Model. For now, it's a reference/config object. We should update our docs to clarify the long term thinking. It's comical that we ended up with saying "A Model is not a model.".
