I got a FS #351553 module delivered just this week. I plan on testing and playing with it. When I get it to work I plan on documenting it. But I don't know when I will have the time to do so, so I won't promise any timeline.
The #351565 you mentioned looks to be very similar when comparing the product pages, it just differs in "Compatible Brands". So this is probably just a firmware setting to make picky switches accept it or similar.
I have a working Verizon Fios result with a GalaChip-based FS module (GPON-SFP-ONT-MAC-I - SKU 351565). The runtime reports GalaChip 1601 and originally advertised firmware V1.2.4.
Observed: With my Nokia ONT identity already configured, I changed the active software version using:
gccli sys version 3FE52258AJJE68
gccli sys save
That value is exactly 14 bytes. After a normal reboot, I verified the same bytes in the software-image ME 7 response transmitted to the OLT.
Observed results:
Zero StartSWDL requests across 1,112 captured frames, covering approximately 7m34s after fresh OLT interrogation.
Successful GEM, bridge, and Extended VLAN Tagging provisioning.
Inactive software instance still advertised V1.2.4.
Gateway obtained DHCP using its native WAN MAC, with the WAN configured untagged.
A subsequent 30-minute connectivity test passed all 61 Ethernet-bound HTTPS checks.
No firmware replacement or daemon patch was needed for this run. This is one tested circuit; the version string and service configuration should be treated as circuit-specific observations.
I have captures, configuration readbacks, and analysis supporting these results. Would a separate GalaChip device page with the verified commands and a Verizon example be useful?

I'm not sure what you mean by "be supported".

Resolve issues #420, #471: TTL media converters, FS.com GalaChip SKU …

Resolved in PR #507: added warning about newer FS.com GPON-SFP-ONT-MAC-I SKUs (351553, 351565) using GalaChip GC1601 chipset instead of Lantiq PEB98035.
