Summary

  • mark pooled allocator queues inactive while their allocators are unused
  • periodically claim disused allocators and process queued remote frees without blocking producers
  • add pool lifecycle hooks, adaptive assistance scheduling, and an N+1 convergence benchmark

Validation

  • full Debug suite: 94/94 passed
  • focused TSan suite covering queue, pool, allocator assistance, domestication, and fixed-region configurations
  • focused batch-size-1 and negative configuration checks during development
  • Release N+1 convergence and throughput measurements during development

Mark pooled allocator queues inactive while unused and periodically process remote frees left on those allocators. Add a non-blocking closing dequeue, pool lifecycle hooks, adaptive assistance scheduling, and focused functional and performance coverage.

Remove test copies of the allocator assistance operation. Rely on existing end-to-end coverage and drive the domestication case through ordinary allocator operations.
